Information we collect
We collect information you provide to create and manage an aiMenuu account, import restaurant menu content, and operate a published mobile menu.
- Account information, such as your name, email address, and authentication details managed by our authentication provider.
- Restaurant information, including restaurant name, contact details, cuisine type, timezone, logo, header images, and public mobile-menu content.
- Source materials you upload for extraction, such as photographs or PDFs of an existing menu, plus the structured text, dish images, and corrections you create in aiMenuu.
- Subscription and entitlement information, such as plan, payment status, and renewal date. Payment-card credentials are collected and processed securely by Stripe and are not stored directly by aiMenuu.
- Technical and usage information, such as device type, browser, pages viewed, referring page, approximate location derived from IP address, and diagnostic events.
- Communications you send to support or otherwise provide to us.
How we use information
- Provide, maintain, secure, and improve aiMenuu.
- Extract categories, dishes, descriptions, and prices from menu files and generate an editable mobile-menu draft at your direction.
- Save owner-approved edits, apply the mobile template you select, and publish restaurant information and menu content you choose to make public.
- Generate QR codes, operate stable public-menu links, and confirm subscription access to publishing features.
- Communicate about service updates, security, support, and account administration.
- Measure product performance, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
AI processing
When you request AI-assisted menu processing, relevant menu text, images, or files may be sent to our AI service provider to perform image understanding, extraction, structuring, text improvement, background processing, or an image-generation task you initiate. We use server-side integrations and limit the information sent to what is needed for the requested operation.
AI-generated dish photographs may be stored in a shared image library and returned for a later request with the same normalized dish name, description, and cuisine. This avoids repeating a slow model request. Restaurant photos you upload are not added to this shared library, and the library does not store the requesting account identity.
AI output can be inaccurate. aiMenuu presents extracted content as a draft for restaurant-owner review before it becomes canonical or public.
How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information to providers that help operate aiMenuu, including hosting, database, storage, authentication, analytics, communications, AI, and subscription-payment providers. They may process information only for the services they provide to us, subject to their agreements and applicable law.
- When you direct us to publish restaurant and menu information publicly.
- To comply with law, protect rights and safety, investigate abuse, or enforce our terms.
- As part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to applicable safeguards.
Public menu information
Published restaurant menus are available without login. Information you publish—including restaurant details, categories, items, prices, descriptions, tags, and images—may be viewed and shared by anyone with the link.
Search indexing is a separate owner-controlled setting. aiMenuu should add a public menu to search sitemaps only when its owner explicitly enables indexing.
Source photographs and PDFs used to create a menu are not themselves offered as public or downloadable print menus. Only the mobile-menu content and media you choose to publish are intended for public display.
Retention and security
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, maintain your account and subscription, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary by data type. Menu source files and temporary AI-processing records may be removed earlier than the published mobile-menu content derived from them.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You may edit or unpublish mobile-menu content and change indexing settings through available account controls. Contact us to request help with account data or deletion.
Cookies and analytics
aiMenuu uses essential cookies or similar storage for authentication, security, account continuity, and preferences. We may collect privacy-conscious product and public-page events to understand reliability and usage. Where law requires consent for non-essential analytics or marketing technology, we will request it before using that technology.
Children and international use
aiMenuu is a business service for restaurant owners and is not directed to children. Service providers may process information in countries other than yours, subject to the safeguards required by applicable law.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the mobile-menu service, providers, or legal requirements change. We will post the updated version here and revise the effective date. Privacy requests and support questions can be submitted through the contact page.
